Roman Catholic Parish
K4J is calling all kids ages 3-11 who want to have fun while learning about Jesus!!
We meet once a month from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Christ the King hall for a jam packed evening of themed skits,
games, crafts, snacks, saint stories and teaching times. All station activities are designed to teach the month's
virtue and motivate kids to learn, live and love their Catholic faith in the fun K4J way!!
At Christ the King we presently have 99 kids involved in our K4J club. After our opening assembly, each age group
is broken up into a team where they travel from station to station learning about their special mission for the
month. At the end of the evening we gather back for our closing assembly where the grade 3 team performs their
saint of the month skit and we end with a loud rendition of the mission song complete with actions!
Kids in grades 4-6 gather for an extra meeting each month in the Captains Leadership program. We gather for virtue
talks, snacks, skit practices and games. At our Friday night club meeting the Captains put their training into action
by greeting at the door, performing the opening skit and song, and leading
the teams from station to station as creatively as they can (fly like a jet plane, hop like a frog, etc)!
Many families have also chosen to receive monthly mission packs that are specifically designed to help K4J kids
live out the virtue at home all month long. Packages include an activity booklet, saint card, mission poster/card,
stickers and parent tips on how to live the virtue in your home. The cost of these packages are: $30 (small
mission pack) or $60 (full mission pack). These packages are key to helping your child live out the virtue all
month long but are always optional.
In order to cover the cost of the snack and craft at our club meeting each month we ask for a suggested
donation of $2 per child.
