Roman Catholic Parish
Mission Statement:
Our mission as the faith community of Christ the King parish is to grow in holiness
by giving Christian witness to the world and a warm welcome to all. With joy and
gratitude we practice Christian stewardship of God's gifts. We live out the rich
tradition and spirituality of the Catholic faith by celebrating the Lord's presence
in the Word and Sacraments, and by loving God in our neighbor.

The trees are down, tinsle is packed and confetti and pine needles all swept away,
but our mission as builders of the Kingdom of God continues. That is why we are so
excited to be able to offer two spectacular ways to help you grow in understanding
and faithfulness, empowering ourselves to be the best builders of the Kingdom we can be!
To that end, our Christ the King: Adventures In Faith series extends the
following two invitations;
A Quick Journey Through the Bible
During this 8-week video series you will you will learn the major people,
places, events and themes of the Bible - getting the "big picture" of salvation
history. Perhaps for the first time in your life, you will understand the overview
of the Bible story. Your Bible reading, the Sunday mass readings, and your
personal experience of faith are guaranteed to come alive like never before.
A Quick Journey Through The Bible will be offered here at Christ the King in the
Parish Saturday Mornings from February 4, 2012 - March 31, 2012 from 9:00am - 10:30am.

Christ The King Parish Lenten Mission!
This 2-day Lenten Mission will be held on the weekend of March 3rd and 4th!
A parish mission encourages us to
ask: "What is really important to me? What am I doing with my life? What values do
I have? Where does God fit into my life? What does my faith, my Church, mean to
me?"
This all-ages Mission will be led by the Face2Face Mission team,
a lively and
dynamic group of faith-filled speakers and musicians known across the country for
their engaging & inspiring presentations that make the Catholic Church and Her
teachings relevant to our lives today.
It is our great privilege to invite everyone between the ages of 1 and 101 to
share this wonderful experience of faith!

There is no charge for this event. You and your family will not want to miss this
dynamic two day journey inviting us to fully embrace the purpose of our lives - to
be saints!
We join with "God's own people" in the English speaking world as we begin to use
the new translation of the Roman Missal for the celebration of the Most Holy Eucharist.
For God's people, the Eucharist is the source and summit of our Christian life.
The Eucharist is the action of the whole church, and within this celebration, we,
the royal priesthood of the baptized, offer to God ourselves, our lives and indeed
the world in which we live as a spiritual sacrifice. This spiritual sacrifice, which
all of us offer together as one people in the Mass, is brought to completion through
the ministry of the ordained priest in union with the Sacrifice of Christ...

a Roman centurion, fisherfolk, a shepherd..."
