Our Church has embarked in a journey of reflection on how we “Walk Together” with one another, not only in our parishes, but also in our communities.
We have been asked to reflect and offer our perspectives on the fundamental question of this Synod:
A synodal Church, in announcing the Gospel, “journeys together.” How is this “journeying together” happening today in your local Church? What steps does the Spirit invite us to take in order to grow in our “journeying together"?
At Christ the King, we consulted with our parish community through a group consultations process both in person and through individual submissions. Through this process each of us was given the opportunity to express:
how our Church body, at the local and broader level could better respond to our community, and
what impact the community wants the Church to have on their lives and the community around us
We would like to extend our thanks to everyone participating in the Synod consultation process. With a special thank you to our friends, family members and neighbours that took their time to walk with us in through this part of the process.
We have now completed the initial stage of the synod. Responses from our community will be forwarded onto the Regina Archdiocese by May 9th, 2022.
